45's Roundup - Del-Vetts, Del-Knights and red vinyl

A periodic roundup of recent finds or interesting items from the archives...

Harder to find than their more popular I Call My Baby STP

Nice overview of Dunwich records here:

A minor hit in 1962 for the Del-Knights, a Philadelphia base doo-wop group.

Red vinyl promo copy of this Rip Chords tune written by Jan Berry of Jan and Dean and Roger Christian, L.A. DJ who wrote a lot of the surf and hot rod  music of the '60's.
Produced by Terry Melcher, Doris Day's son.

I don't know much about She's a Bad Motorcycle by the Crestones but apparently this was an Illinois group and the song came out around 1964. Listen to it here:

Early Burt Bacharach classic. Also a hit by Marty Robbins.

An unusual Decca release from the Flamingos. I believe this is from 1958.

Stereo 33 1/3 release by Joan Baez..Lyrics by Woody Guthrie

A Gene Krupa  45. You don't see a lot of Krupa singles.

Vocal group from 1959. Listen to the Dynatones here:
