Vintage Satire from the Archives

Back in 1967 I learned you could buy back issues of magazines and comic books.
My friend Jim Cooper and I would travel to Clark Street in Chicago and check out the used book stores.

P.A. (Sam) La Chapelle was a female comicologist who ran the Acme Book Store. I remember her as being a blond babe with a manicure with great penmanship. She would write the prices of comics on the back (with pencil).

Her business card is hard to read. I will try to get a better scan.

First 2 issues (and the only issues) of Hugh Hefner's attempt at satire. These were a little pricier than the competition but pretty high quality content.

Thimk. Not sure if it had more than 2 issues.
